شركة الطاقة وزيوت التشحيم الماليزية المملوكة للدولة Petronas أعلنت الشركة عن تسليم ثلاث سفن جديدة موفرة للطاقة لنقل الغاز الطبيعي المسال من أمريكا الشمالية.
The announcement comes in the run up to the expected start-up of LNG كندا, in which Petronas has a 25% interest alongside other global energy giants like Shell.

The three new vessels—which have been named Puteri Sejinjang, Puteri Mayang and Puteri Mahsuri—were built in Ulsan, South Korea at the shipyard of Hyundai Heavy Industries. Their addition doubles the number of LNG vessels that Petronas has dedicated to its operations out of North America. Each vessel can carry 174,000 cubic meters, and they are the biggest vessels in the company’s fleet.
Adnan Zainal Abidin, the chief operating officer of Petronas, said that LNG would be needed for the foreseeable future as a key element in the energy transition. He said the new LNG vessels demonstrated the company’s commitment to supplying its customers with this much-needed fuel in a reliable and cost-effective way.
