A leading producer of industrial process fluids, Quaker Houghton, has published its sustainability report for 2022. The report details the company’s progress towards its environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals for the end of this decade.

According to the report, the company now uses 25% renewable raw materials, with another 7% being re-refined. It has also implemented guidelines for green chemistry to improve the societal and environmental effects of its high-performance solutions. Progress has also been made on greenhouse gas emissions thanks to investing in certificates for renewable energy, while improvements to occupational safety were reflected in a 3% drop in the total recordable incident rate. Thanks to these and other efforts, for the second year in a row, the company made the list of America’s Most Responsible Companies that is compiled by Newsweek.

The company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Andy Tometich, said that he was happy with the company’s progress in achieving its sustainability goals, adding:

“The improvements we are making in our foundational capabilities are critical to the long-term success of our company, our customers and the communities we serve. We are uniquely positioned to lead our industry towards a more sustainable future and are fully committed to further advancements towards our 2030 goals.”
