Shropshire manufacturer Morris Lubricants is celebrated for the high-quality cutting-fluid and compressor oil it blends and releases, but it is also respected for its commitment to community.

Recently, the company entered a team into an event called the “Shrewsbury Mud Run” to raise much-needed funds for the Lingen Davies Cancer Support. Dedicated to aiding cancer patients in areas like Shropshire, Mid Wales and Telford and Wrekin, the registered charity has operated for more than 45 years.

The official Morris Lubricants Mud Run team successfully completed the 10-kilometre course with an outstanding one hour 15 minutes time. The challenging route saw the team tackle tough trials like wading across rivers, assailing an eight-foot-high mud bank and commando crawling through a stretch of thick mud before finishing on a hill with a steep mud slide.

Representing the company was Clayton Matcham, Senior Internal Sales Account Manager, Kyle Gleeson, Commercial Manager, Marcus Forrester, Purchasing Graduate, Guy Lloyd, International Business Manager and Hannah Stocking-Evans, buyer.

As a team, Morris Lubricants raised a total of £510, with more donations still flooding in. Friends and family members of Morris Lubricants’ staff also came down on the day to cheer the team on.

Morris Lubricants issued a thank you to all who had supported their efforts to help the charity and stated that it would announce its future involvement in fundraising on social media.

While based in Shrewsbury, Morris Lubricants supplies its high-quality products to more than 90 countries and is regarded as one of Europe’s leading lubricant manufacturers.
