Isabelle Adelt, Fuchs SE’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has beaten hundreds of candidates to be included in the “Top 40 under 40” management category of the business magazine Capital.

Fuchs is the biggest independent supplier of lubricant solutions like gear oil and grease in the world. Adelt joined the company in November 2022, and at 39 years old, she is one of the youngest female top-level board members of any company listed in the German MDAX index.

In a press release, Fuchs said Adelt employs continuous exchange and open communication with all stakeholders in her holistic management style. Fuchs Chairman Stefan Fuchs said he was delighted to find her approach was appreciated in the wider economy as much as it is at Fuchs.

Adelt’s duties go beyond the traditional tasks of a CFO, being also responsible for investor relations, legal, digitalisation and compliance. She has also defined and implemented the “FUCHS goes Digital” digital strategy project, and led projects on adopting standardised processes, platforms and data structures, as well as using AI (artificial intelligence) within the company.

Adelt said in a press release about the recognition:

“I am proud that my commitment has been recognised by the renowned business experts at Capital magazine. The award is also an incentive for me to continue to be active beyond my traditional tasks. Beyond digital and AI, I am passionate about equality, diversity and intercultural inclusion.”

She added that in the current globalised world, challenges could only be met if people work together.
