Ardova Plc, integrated energy company and sole authorised distributor of Shell-branded lubricants in Nigeria, recently revealed a brand-new cutting-edge lubricant oil blending plant.

The facility has a 150 million litre per annum production capacity and can store up to 14 million litres.

The blending plant is also designed to meet the ever-changing demands of the Nigerian lubricant market while guaranteeing consistent supply throughout a full spectrum of product lines, to meet the needs of Ardova’s network. The distributor has more than 500 storage facilities and retail outlets in key locations across the nation including Lagos, Apapa, Rivers State and Onne.

Ardova’s Executive Chairman, AbdulWasiu Sowami, recently shared insights into the decision to construct an all-new facility rather than updating its existing plant in Apapa. He commented:

“Three years ago, we realised that to accomplish our goal of adequately meeting the Nigerian market lubricant demand, we needed to transform our plant to a state-of-the-art Lubricant Blending Oil Plant, which will represent our commitment to innovation and excellence. Our vision is to lead the lubricants market.”

The Chairman thanked the company’s partners for their patience and loyalty during the build period, mentioning the challenges in supplies they faced during the plant’s construction.

To empower and reward those it works with, the company has created an incentive scheme for its highest performing partners. The distributor has also improved logistics, with a fleet of dedicated lubricant trucks and enhanced payment systems that allow smoother transactions.

All products now include unique IDs increasing market protection with seamless tracking.
