Kline & Company has now released its “Global Lubricants: Market Analysis and Assessment 2025” report, and found that Shell Lubricants is still the leading supplier for finished lubricants in the world.

The milestone marks the 19th year in a row that the lubricant maker has taken top ranking.

Renowned for its engine and gear oils serving transportation, Shell also supplies a complete range of industrial lubricants including cutting fluid, hydraulic oil and turbine oil. It also supplies speciality lubricants for aircraft through its Aeroshell sub-brand and products for marine applications like Shell Nautilus.

The 23rd edition of the Kline report placed Shell at number one based on its worldwide industrial segments and volume of finished lubricant sales. The report supplies a comprehensive analysis of industrial finished lubricants and assesses the usage of lubricants over trade classes, end use industries and emerging market trends, like immersion cooling fluids used in both energy and digital infrastructure.

Shell Lubricants’ Global Executive VP, Jason Wong, commented on the continuing achievement, stating that the company was focused on how lubricants drive progress in a range of applications including industrial, commercial and consumer. He added that Shell Lubricants aimed to become the world’s most customer focused trader and marketer in energy, and that it would carry on investing in the most highly efficient and premium products to offer long-term value.

Shell’s competitive advantage and current position are fuelled by investments in best-in class products like Shell Rimula heavy-duty engine oils, and Shell Gadus and Shell Tellus for the industrial sector.
