The news website for motorsport Speedcafe.com has announced a new Platinum Partner in the form of the Mobil 1 engine oil brand. It will become the presenting partner for the website’s live updates for the Australian Grand Prix, Supercar Championship races and Bathurst 12 Hour, as well as the news section.
Mobil 1 is already a familiar name in motorsport, with it perhaps being best known as the official lubricant partner of the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team, which won this year’s driver’s championship. It is also the preferred lubricant for Porsche Carrera Cup races around the world.
Bruce Morrison of MotorActive, the Australian distributor of Mobil 1 products, expressed his pride at being trusted with a range of high-quality products, adding:
“Mobil 1 is obviously a major focus for us. We are always looking to work with quality partners and Speedcafe.com has become a trusted and proactive motorsports stakeholder both nationally and internationally and when the opportunity came to become a Platinum Partner we did not hesitate.”
Mobil 1 was first released in 1974 as a pioneering fully synthetic motor oil and has been incrementally improved since, with racetrack data providing important insights. It is used to factory-fill the high-performance vehicles of many automotive companies, including McLaren, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Aston Martin and Bentley.
