Leading lubricant brand Castrol has launched a new multi-channel campaign to increase awareness of the benefits of using its Magnatec range.
The aim of the campaign is to help workshops and distributors to promote the Castrol Magnatec passenger car engine oil to their consumers. Protecting vehicle engines from wear and tear is important, so Castrol has provided a marketing toolkit to help improve consumers’ understanding of this. This includes assets like email templates, stickers, posters, banners, brochures and a wall chart to assist mechanics in easily selecting the correct oil for a particular engine.
According to Castrol, just under 40% of the vehicles in use in the UK can be serviced with just five products from the Magnatec range. The company says that workshops can therefore simplify their lubricant procurement and management just by making Castrol Magnatec their preferred engine oil, thanks to its broad compatibility with vehicles from brands like Ford, Citroen, Kia, Fiat, Honda, Vauxhall, Toyota and Peugeot.
In a press release, Castrol stated:
“The campaign highlights the added protection that Castrol MAGNATEC can provide to vehicles. Road congestion has increased dramatically over recent years, and a typical driver can stop and start up to 18,000 times a year, a process that can cause wear and slowly damage a car’s engine.”
The release added that engine stop–start and warm-up wear can be substantially reduced, thanks to the DUALOCK molecules in Castrol Magnatec, as these lock together and stick to vital engine parts to form a protective shield.
