Oil giant ExxonMobil has announced the release of a new oil for marine vehicle engines, which is free of zinc.
The innovative lubricant is intended to maximise the performance of engines in compliance with environmental legislation.

ExxonMobil has stated that its new Mobilgard 410 NC offers an approximately 20% enhancement in piston cleanliness, while also providing around 50% reductions in levels of liner wear. The firm’s marine fuels and lubricants sales manager for the Americas, Scott Murphy, stated:
“As more Tier IV engines enter the marketplace, the versatility of Mobilgard 410 NC will be even more valuable.”

This new Mobilgard 410 NC oil will function in both high and medium-speed diesel engines, designed for marine craft that meet Tier IV regulations in terms of lower emissions of diesel particulate matter and nitrogen oxide.
ExxonMobil is already an industry leader when it comes to oils and greases, thanks to products like Mobil ATF LT 71141 and Mobil Unirex EP2.
