Mobil and Red Bull Racing announce fandom kits for US races

Leading lubricant maker Mobil and the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team have announced a series of what they call “Fandom Fuel Kits” to mark the US Formula 1 races in Las Vegas, Austin and Miami.

Each kit is themed to the particular location and contains retro-style memorabilia to celebrate the 90s culture and Formula 1 history. The first kit for the Miami event contains an official jacket for Oracle Red Bull Racing, a 90s-style T-shirt featuring driver Max Verstappen, and an Island Breeze air freshener to represent the Miami vibe.

ExxonMobil’s Consumer Marketing Director, Troy Simms, said about the kits:

“We know Oracle Red Bull Racing fans love to show off their fandom and celebrate our legendary drivers who make winning look so easy. So, this year, we’re excited to reward fans with merchandise they’ll be racing to wear at the track.”

He added that the Synergy fuel at the company’s fuel stations is developed by the same team that makes the fuel for Oracle Red Bull Racing, so customers should be sure to fill up with it at their local stations.

Only 150 kits will be available for each race, making them highly collectible. Fans can obtain one through Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app by redeeming the points they’ve built up buying products like fuel and passenger car engine oil at Mobil and Exxon stations. Fans here will no doubt be hoping a similar kit will be released for the team when the British Grand Prix takes place in Silverstone in July.
